This version of the Eyewitness Encyclopedia of Science has an increased depth of coverage. It includes an additional 400,000 words, plus new animations, videos and interactive features. A new interface and navigator panels, more hyperlinks and powerful search facilities make it easier and quicker to access the information available. Three new interactive features allow users to explore matter, rotate and examine 20 different molecules and plot mathematical functions. All displayed text is stored as live allowing the whole encyclopedia to be searched using a word chosen by users. It also features a link to the Dorling Kindersley science site on the World Wide Web where scientists can unearth more information.
